The journey to Finland was about more than just hockey. For the Amsterdam Tigers, NEPIHL 2026 meant stepping onto the international stage, facing strong opponents, and proving once again what para ice hockey is all about: resilience, teamwork, and pure passion.
The NEPIHL tournament brings together teams from across Europe, where para ice hockey is played at a high level. From the very first game, we knew we had to be sharp. The pace was high, the physical battles intense, and every mistake was punished immediately. But the Tigers came prepared. We worked hard, stayed disciplined, and showed that we belong at this level. Every shift on the ice was a fight — not just against our opponents, but also against our own limits.
Throughout the tournament, one thing stood out: the strength of the team. Blocked shots, last-second saves, and relentless forechecking defined our games. There were moments where we were under heavy pressure, but we never gave up. That fighting spirit is what defines the Amsterdam Tigers.
On the bench, the energy was just as important as on the ice. Players supported each other, coaches made the right adjustments, and every line contributed. Whether you played big minutes or a few key shifts everyone mattered.
Each match brought new lessons. We faced teams with more experience, different playing styles, and high-level tactical systems. That’s exactly what makes NEPIHL so valuable. We adapted, improved, and pushed ourselves further with every game. The progress we made as a team over just a few days was incredible.
What makes NEPIHL truly special goes beyond the results. It’s the friendships, the respect between teams, and the shared love for the sport. Off the ice, there were laughs, stories, and moments that will stay with us forever. Para ice hockey connects people — regardless of background, country, or ability — and this tournament was a perfect example of that.
As we return home, we do so with pride. Pride in how we played. Pride in how we represented Amsterdam. And pride in being part of this incredible sport. NEPIHL Finland 2026 gave us exactly what we came for: experience, challenge, and unforgettable memories. And one thing is certain — this team is still growing. We’ll be back. Stronger. Faster. And even more determined.
